Tour Itinerary

96 KM

After a quick briefing and traditional breakfast in Cagliari, it’s time to saddle up for the day’s fine riding towards Capoterra. Then we will hit the dirt road which will take us to the heart of the nature reserve of Monte Arcosu, an area rich with holm oak and yew forests, immersed in the beautiful green of the mediterranean scrub where the rare Sardinian deer still hides away. We will then get back onto the tortuous, tarmac road which winds its way to some of the most breathtaking beaches in South Sardinia and finally to Porto Pino, where we will spend our first overnight stay.

159 KM

The following morning we will head towards the west coast and visit the ancient and charming port of the island of Sant’Antioco, before hitting the winding roads of the spectacular and uncontaminated Costa Verde, with its imposing cliffs and kilometre long beaches, nestled amongst giant dunes of golden sand.

146 KM

We will wake up to a jaw dropping Saharan-like landscape, spellbound by the first rays of sunrise which slowly creep down the dunes, turning them a beautiful, pale pink. We then continue our tour towards the peninsula of Sinis where we will visit Tharros. An ancient city founded by the Phoenicians and later conquered by Carthage and Rome, it is located a stone’s throw from the sea and is a true cultural heritage of breathtaking beauty. Once we have reached the beautiful beach of Is Arutas we will start the return journey back to Cagliari, making our last stop at the winery of Mogoro. A member of the winery’s team will guide us around the estate and we will have the chance to taste their finest wines.
