CAMPIDANO DI ORISTANO
The Campidano of Oristano, the largest plain on the island, is an area rich in history. Thanks to its coastal location and a large amount of resources available, the Phoenicians were able to build three important towns, Neapolis, Othoca and Tharros, which today have become major archaeological sites. Along the coast of this intriguing region alternate pure white strips of sand and spectacular beaches made of multicoloured grains of quartz. This is a truly wonderful and unique part of the island which will have you dreaming of Sardinia even after your return home.
